Privacy Policy

Last updated July 27, 2026

This policy explains what information Mississauga Insider ("we", "us") collects when you visit mississaugainsider.ca, why we collect it, and how it's used. We try to keep this simple and collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, through two forms on the site:

We do not use our own tracking cookies or analytics software. The only thing the site stores in your browser is a single, non-identifying preference (whether you've dismissed the sticky newsletter bar), kept in your browser's local storage and never sent back to us.

How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Third-party services

Parts of the site rely on outside services, each with its own privacy policy governing the information it handles:

Our business directory

Listings in the directory are compiled from Google's public business data (Google Maps Platform), not submitted by site visitors. If you're a business owner and want your listing corrected or removed, contact us.

Children's privacy

Mississauga Insider is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time by contacting us. To stop receiving the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any issue. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
